The Little Witches Guide to the ABC’s

「The Little Witches Guide to the ABC’s」Written By (Anna Fiore) | Illustrated by (Lydia Amora)

About to End on Kickstarter

A children’s book about magick, spirituality, witchcraft and the occult.

Did you know? One of my close friends is currently running her first Kickstarter project, and it’s so close to being funded too!

The Little Witches Guide to the ABC’s is a project made by two woman who are trying to change the bed time stories you read to your kids.

Are you a millennial parent? Are you tired of having children books just be about the same old thing, or just plain old books that don’t seem to teach kids about the important things in life, like for example, spirit and the occult?

The Little Witches Guide to the ABC’s is a beautifully illustrated alphabet book that celebrates many of the different paths of magick from A to Z. The story follows two Little Witches as they search through the alphabet for their missing cat Stardust, meeting many fun and unique characters along the way.

The imagery is whimsical, colorful and lighthearted with diverse and unique characters illustrating a wide spectrum of authentic spiritual paths.

Witches are usually portrayed as mean old green hags, who cast spells and curse you, when in reality it’s so much more than that. Today Witches and the adjacent mythologies have evolved into something so much more than anyone could have ever imagined! My basic understanding of it all, is that magic is supposed to give you power, and it’s up to you, what you do with that influence, find self revelations, do some shadow work and interpret your traumas in a new light, that might give you deeper understanding of yourself and those around you, or simply become a higher version of yourself, all of those things can be done when you look deep inside of you with the right tools, and that’s what being a witch is all about.

Yes crystals, bones readings, and the tarot are involved, but all of those things are just an extension of your power. Spirit guides surround you with warm light, and under the right circumstances they are here to help you. They are here to sustain your purpose in life, and help you achieve all of what you were brought down here on earth to do.

It’s all a little complicated right now, and might sound weird to those that don’t believe or study this practices. Witches are never about imposing ideology’s unto you. There’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ here, it’s all just energy, and what you do with that, is up to you. But that energy can come back and haunt you if you’re not careful.

Anyway, enough about that, but in a nutshell, that’s basically what Anna and Lydia are trying to portray in this new project. They are trying to simplify this ideas into something that children might understand. Furthermore I believe this book to be a great conversation starter, because sometimes you need those with your kids. Books like these are important because they can teach your child the basis for navigating this world, and give them the right tools to make friends and form their own coven.

The book reinforces alphabet recognition using alliteration. Each page also features a game of hide-and-seek with the cat Stardust, which keeps young readers engaged in the hunt to find him.

So why does it matter? Well mainly because this book is self published, and all printings of it are going directly to backers. Of course that doesn’t mean it can later be picked up by a major children book publication. (*cough Random House, this is right up your alley. *cough*) As it might increase in popularity and gain a new audience. This book is certainly for the millennial parent that wishes to introduce their child to hard to talk about concepts like meditation, and magic itself as a whole.

So what are you waiting for? Go back them up on Kickstarter they only have like 5 days to go! Help them reach their goal and make this book a reality! An independent book made with love by two powerful arcane witches!
