That’s right kido’s time is weird in Heavenly Bodies, more below.
Hi everyone welcome back to another HB lore introduction post.
This time around we’ll be talking about time.
What’s so special about time, you ask?
I’ve already probably talked about this somewhere on this blog, but here is a dedicated blog post to explain why time is weird, and why you might find a dinner scene in the book, where character’s are asking how old each of them is.
And find out that yesterday they were 616, and tomorrow they’ll be 644, how does this happen?
Gliese Orbit is held in place by a red dwarf, thus it makes it’s day’s a lot faster.
13 day’s for them is 1 day for us.
So that means 1 year for us is 28 years for them.
But worry not because instead of them living up to be like 90. They end up being like 2 thousand years old.
Expecting medicine and medical treatment is up to standard, Gliese lives in the enlightened ages, they’re living as one with technology and their cities are future like. They are about to enter a true space age, where ships can travel close to the speed of light.
This of course is under wraps by The Pastoral of Magic. As crystals are involved in this process.
But once they know the true mystery that is their own planet and conquer their own core, they’ll be able harvest the energy from their own solar system, and power up an engine that will allow them to travel to other planets.
Or Heavenly Bodies….
But yeah that’s the gist of the story, along the way you’ll meet interesting character’s and shenanigans happen because Rae is st00pid.
So yeah time is weird.
Heavenly Bodies is set for a 2020 release, cover reveal is coming soon, I know I say this all the time, but the artist doing the cover is taking his sweet time with it.
He even added a little bit of more depth to the story of Rae.
